Pray for Stellan

Sorry. No Not Me! Monday today.

Please instead take a moment to pray for little Stellan. You can read his story and updates here. In summary, he is a 5mo baby who has been in the hospital since last sunday with a heart condition called SVT. This was the same thing he was diagnosed with in utero at 26wks and was told he would not live. Please keep Stellan and his family in your prayers.

17 Weeks - Our Walla Walla Sweet

This week our baby's body fat is starting to form though he/she is still quite skinny with almost translucent skin. Our baby is also practicing sucking and swallowing is preparation for feeding. The baby is moving though I haven't felt anything yet.

I am feeling well, though I currently have a cold. I think it's safe to say that my nausea is gone. I still don't have too much of an appetite. I haven't really had too many cravings, though occasionally something sounds really good, and I haven't had any food aversions. I started wearing a pair of maternity pants this week as I can no longer button any of my pants. A belly picture is coming shortly.

Not Me! Monday

Another week has flown by. Time again for Not Me! Monday. Here are some things that I definitely didn't do this past week.

I certainly did not try out a baby name when putting my name down at a restaurant just to see the reaction of the person taking names and then to hear it being called.

We did not play cards two times today at two different restaurants on our 1 year anniversary. No way! Not us. This is definitely not a picture of us playing!

We did not go for a romantic walk around the University of Washington to see the cherry blossoms only to see this instead:

When I was not hoping for this:

There you have it another rendition of "Not Me!" Monday. This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Almost to 1000

We have had almost 1000 visits to our blog (you can see the visitor count on the bottom right side bar). I decided that I am going to give away a prize for the 1000 visitor to our blog. The prize will be a set of 6 baby burp cloths made by yours truly. (like the ones pictured below)

These burp cloths are made of flannel so they are very absorbent and easy to wash. Makes for a great shower gift or to keep for your own. All you have to do is be the 1000th person and take a picture of it and email it to me. The closest one to 1000 will win! Good Luck.

MD Appt.

We had another doctor appt today and everything is well as it should be. We got the hear the heart beat again. The baby was moving a lot and the doctor had to keep moving the doppler to hear the heart beat. Also the baby MIGHT have had the hiccups OR could have just been moving funny. I have gained 6lbs total now, right on track. Also I had to go out to a patients home for a visit this afternoon and the patient actually commented that I was pregnant! He was the first stranger/person who didn't know to notice.

16 Weeks - Our Green Avacado

This week our little one has ears and eyes (complete with eyelashes and eyebrows) in the right place on their face. Though the eyelids are still sealed, the eyes are working, moving from side to side, and can distinguish between light and dark. Our little one is also moving around quite a bit, though I can't feel it yet, and will squirm if I poke my belly!

I am still feeling well. Last week I thought the nausea was gone but I was wrong. I still get it sometimes in the evenings. I think mostly when I need to eat. Other than that not much is new. I can't button any of my pants except for 1 pair. The Be Band is working great. Doctors appt on Friday... stay tuned for an update.

Not Me! Monday

It's Monday again! Time for "Not Me!" Monday. Things I definitely did not and would not ever do. Nope not me.

When eating out, Devin and I do not sit and play cards/games (namely "Phase 10") at the table while waiting for our food and while waiting for the check. Nope not us!

I did not wake up a record 5 times one night to, uh, pee. 5 times! No wonder I feel tired.

Also in my last post I did not mistakenly state that my nausea was gone, cause I did not have more nausea the past few days.

And I did not wake up Sunday am to see it snowing outside. March 15th and it's snowing. I am definitely not anxious for spring and warm weather to get here.

15 Weeks - Our Little Orange

This week our baby's ears are in place and the eyes are moving to their final place. Our baby can wiggle fingers and toes, suck his/her thumb. Our baby can breath or at least make breathing movements, suck and swallow. Our baby is kicking and moving though I can't feel anything yet.

I am feeling well. The nausea is gone for the most part (at least I hope). I am starting to show, just a tiny bit. My pants feel better unbuttoned especially when sitting. I purchased a Beband at Target and it's really comfortable. It's just a band of stretchy material you can wear over unbuttoned prepregnancy pants. And now when I lay on my belly I can feel the little bubble.

We Sold our House! Again!!

We accepted offer #2 on the house. It's not quite as good as offer #1 but it's an offer. Offer #2 actually came in on Saturday with the first one but they kind of low balled it. After offer #1 failed we counter-offered back to full price. They countered asking for some money in closing costs. We stalled responding until this afternoon waiting for a offer #3, but it wasn't as good, so we accepted offer #2. We have the same dates as offer #1 so we are closing at the end of the month, the same day the new house is closing. We talked to our mortgage person today trying to get everything worked out. It's going to be kind of tricky and close but I think this is all actually going to happen. Please pray that this offer will close without incident.

Not Me! Monday

Welcome to Not Me! Monday!

OK so I did not actually post this "Not me Monday!" post on Tuesday. Though I did start it on friday. I couldn't finish cause a real estate agent wanted to come look at our place last night. That's a good excuse right?

Also this week while at my parents house searching the cupboards for snacks, I did not find a half empty bag of rainbow goldfish crackers and help myself to a handful or two. And then on the way home that afternoon, I did not have to stop at the store to buy my own bag of goldfish crackers (not the rainbow kind, just the regular kind) to snack on in the car. Not me! I only eat healthy snacks and not ones left over from when my neices were visiting.

And it did not snow again yesterday! It's March for crying out loud! This is at least the 4th time we have had a snowfall. In Washington it should be warming up, the flowers are starting to bloom. I am definatly ready to shorts and tanktops.

I also did not stay home from work today cause I am sick. I never get sick. (Seriously, I don't. Devin has been sick 7-8 times since I met him and this is the first or second time. I will blame it on being pregnant.)

We ALMOST Sold Our House!

Update: So it turns out that the buyer for our house went into work today and got laid off. Which means she is out of a job and can't buy our place. Keep her and us is your prayers.

Great news to report...we sold our house. Well, we accepted the offer. We lowered the price on Friday and got 2 offers on Saturday. We of course accepted the full price offer. We are going to close on the same as we close on the new house which works out well so we won't have to take out a second loan. Everything is coming together and again it is really amazing how God is orchestrating all the details of this buy/sell transaction. I will give more details after everything becomes official.

Also we had the inspection done on the new house and there were very little things that came up and the owners agreed to the improvements we asked for without a counter offer. Still our main concern with the new house is with the septic system. Anyone have any experience with septic? Specifically we plan on redoing the landscaping which we believe sits right on top of the drain field.

Anyway, we will be moving into our new house on April 4th, though we will have possession as of April 2nd at 9pm. Anyone available to help us move?

14 Weeks - Our Sweet Little Lemon

This week our baby is starting to straighten out, the neck is getting longer and the head more erect. The baby is also starting to get some hair (head, eyebrows, and body), not the real hair but just the fuzz to keep the baby warm until the baby fat develops which is later in the pregnancy.

I am still feeling well. Less nausea but still not much of an appetite. My pants are starting to get a little tight, especially in the evenings but not much of a visible belly yet. I am still tired and still having headaches. I am waiting for my energy to come back, hopefully just in time to move!
