Pictures…Where are all the Pictures?

I was going to do a catch-up post with pictures of the going-ons recently that I haven’t blog about yet.  Only we either haven’t done anything or we haven’t taken any pictures, or both.

The only pictures I have are from our Memorial day hike to Barclay Lake.

Things I Have Said Recently

“Do not eat her toes.  You may eat your own toes, but we don’t eat other people’s toes.”

“Do not put your sunglasses in your ear please.”

“Please don’t put your finger in mommy’s eye.”

“You want to play with the beans.  Ok, no eat.”

“We only flush the potty if there is pee-pee or poo-poo in it.”

“Do not step on your sister.”

“We need to change your jammies, they have yogurt all over them.”

As you can see, Jacob and Evie are thrilled to announce that baby #3 is on the way!

(They are watching a DVD on the computer.  It’s the only way I was going to get them to sit still)

Devin and I are excited to be expecting #3 who will arrive the end of December.  I am around 10.5 weeks along.

We have already had an ultrasound done last week as the doctor saw a second sack and wanted to get it checked out.  It is likely that we started out with twins but the one baby never developed or died early on and the sack is still present and should go away over time.  Our baby has a strong and healthy heart beat and is all that a 10week embryo should be.

I am feeling ok for the most part.  The morning sickness/nausea comes and goes.  Today I have felt nauseous all day.  I don’t really think I have gained any weight and I am just starting to show if you look closely.

Here is the first picture of the babe:

Nine

Our Evie girl is 9 months old today.  Wow how time flies.  She is cute as a button and growing so fast.

Here is a little bit about our Evie:

  • She is sitting up and rolling over but not moving yet.  No creeping or crawling.  She is now pushing up on her arms pretty good.  We are waiting anxiously for her to begin moving.  I think Jacob will like it a lot more once she can move and interact more.
  • She is eating pureed foods.  I have tried the Gerber puffs but when you put in on her tongue she doesn’t know what to do with it and makes a funny face trying to get it out.  She likes pretty much everything I have given her so far but I need to expand on what I give her. She still has no teeth, but is working hard to getting some, I think.
  • She is wearing size 3 diaper, 6 –9 month clothes.
  • She is taking 2 naps per day of about 2 hours each and is sleeping about 10 hours at night.  She goes to bed at 7:30-8pm and wakes to eat between 5-6am and then goes back to sleep until 8-9am.  We still swaddle her to sleep.
  • She had her first swimming experience last month and loved it.  Both sitting in the shallow and splashing and swimming around.
  • She is starting to “talk” a little bit more making continuous sounds, wa-wa-wa-wa-wa.
  • Her favorite toys are anything that krinkles or that has something small/skinny to grab and hair.
