The Other Party

Since the weekend after the kids birthday party was back into the 80's, we decided to throw an impromptu slip-n-slide/pool party.  The weather was perfect.  The kids had a blast.

The Birthday Party

The party was planned for outside at our house.  Slip-n-slide, pool, water guns, and other water related activities.  This summer has been so nice with weather in the 80's leading up to the party.  (and for weeks after)

Yet as the day of the party drew near the forecast continued to look gloomier and gloomier with rain and highs in the 60's.  Not quite ideal for a water party, we decided to find an inside venue Giggles and Grins at the last minute. The kids had a blast.  What a fun place.

Remlinger Farms

We took the kids to Remlinger Farms on Jacob's birthday.  It was awesome!  The kids had so much fun.  Jacob is not a fan of rides and usually refuses to ride them.  Recently he rode the carousel at the zoo, sitting on a bench, not on a pony, which was a big deal.  We told him now that he was 5, he had to try 5 rides.  He could pick. 

He was a little hesitant at first, going on a small train ride and then passing on a few that Evie and Noah rode on.  But then he got into the grove and tried almost all of them, and of course loved them, even the roller coaster which he wanted to ride on again.

4 hours later, hot and tired (Devin and I), we headed for home.  The kids could have stayed there all day.
