Annual Tulare Beach Picinic and Dance!

Last Saturday was the Annual Tulare Beach Picnic and Dance (my grandparents live on Tulare Beach). It was a beautiful day as you will see. Here are some pics from the festivities:

First off was the children's parade (ironically there were more adults that children...)

Then the adult games: blindfolded boat race, classic egg toss, and tug of war

Weekly Update

How far along? 33 weeks (only 6 weeks to go!)

Total weight gain/loss: +25lbs

Sleep: Lately good, thanks to the air conditioner (love it!). Falling to sleep quickly, only waking once to use the bathroom!!!

Best moment this week: Washing minature baby girl clothes and putting them in the nursery, sorting Jacob's clothes and getting his room ready.

Movement: All the time, starting to poke out at times. Devin was amazed at how much this little one moves. This one is MUCH more active than Jacob was.

Food cravings: water, chocolate milk, ice cream, cereal, fruit, salad

Gender: It's a GIRL!

Belly Button in or out? Out

What I miss: doning anything without feeling short of breath and dizzy

What I am looking forward to: Holding our little girl on September 7th, 6 more weeks!

Baby Development: She is probably about 4.5lbs now, still gaining about 1/2lb per week and might be about 19-20inches long. What is she doing lately....she is developing an immune system. My antibioties are being passed to her. That's great, because I have a great immune system and rarely get sick. Hope its the same for her.

Jacob is 11 Months!

I keep thinking "where has the time gone?" as I am starting to plan a 1st birthday party. I can't believe it's almost been 1 year since our little boy entered this world. Wow, just amazing.



Here is what little Jacob is up to these days:


Crawling, pulling up and cruising on everything and anything.

Just figured out how to open the cupboards and of course has to take everything out.

Has taken his first steps, though quite unsteady, he is getting more confident and steady every day.



Usually take 2 naps a day, each 1-2hours.

Sleeps 11-12 hours at night


Loves being outside.


Loves taking a bath, but only at our house.


Spent the first nights away from Mom and Dad a few weeks ago with Grandma and Grandpa Field.


Is wearing 9-12 month onesies, 6-9 month pants, 6-9 month shirts.


Still has 5 teeth (3 on the top, 2 on the bottom) with a 6th tooth (on the top) taking it's sweet time to break through, thought it would have weeks ago.


Is constantly drooling and spitting up significantly less (finally)!


Only naps for 30max in the car.


Smiles and laughs at you when you say "No".


Mostly says ba ba, va va. Has yet to really say da da or ma ma.


Always smiles and talks to other babies.


Loves to laugh, be tackled and tickled.


Loves it when you clap your hands, but doesn't clap his hands yet.

Sleep: Lately good. Falling to sleep quickly, only waking once to use the bathroom!

What I miss: my energy

What I am looking forward to: Holding our little girl on September 7th, 7 more weeks!

Baby Development: She is probably about 4lbs now, gaining about 1/2lb per week and might be about 19inches long. What is she doing lately....she is practicing to thrive outside my womb which includes kicking, swallowing and sucking.

Weekly Update

How far along? 31 weeks (7 months!)

Total weight gain/loss: ? Who weighs themself on vacation!

Sleep: Pretty good lately. Of course vacation and sleeping in helps a lot!

Best moment this week: um....Nothing stands out. I am feeling huge though!

Movement: All the time, starting to poke out at times.

Food cravings: ice cream, popsicles, lemonade, missing good Seattle water

Gender: It's a GIRL!

What I miss: being able to go on rides. Wanting so much to go on the rides at SeaWorld!

What I am looking forward to: Meeting our little girl on September 7th, 8 more weeks!

Baby Development: Baby could be over 3lbs now, gaining about 1/2lb per week . Her brain is growing and developing. She can now process information, track light and percieve all five senses.

Babymoon

We are having a great time on our vacation in San Diego. Just wishing the weather was a bit better. Apparently they haven't had weather like this in over 10 years. Not that it's cold, but it not sunny either, most of the time. Just a thick layer of marine clouds and a bit windy. We've seen quite a bit of the city thanks to the Old Town Trolly Tour and my old friend Karen who lives here and drove us around yesterday. And of course we've seen SeaWorld.

Weekly Update

How far along? 30 weeks (7 months!)

Total weight gain/loss: + 22lbs

Sleep: slept great last night. We got an air conditioner. Yeah, because it was in the 90's today which means our bedroom is probably 100 degrees. Love the air conditioner!

Best moment this week: um....Nothing stands out. I am feeling huge though!

Movement: My belly is moving around, I can see her moving!

Food cravings: ice cream, popsicles, lemonade

Gender: It's a GIRL!

What I miss: shirts that cover all my belly!

What I am looking forward to: Taking a babymoon vacation to San Diego without the little munchkin.

Baby Development: Baby could be over 3lbs now, gaining about 1/2lb per week . Her brain is growing and developing. She can even regulate her temperature now and is starting to shed the languo (the body hair) that's been keeping her warm.

Not Me! Monday

Happy 5th of July! Of course on a regular Monday I forgo "Not Me" Monday, but on a holiday...I'm all over it! Go firgure!

I did not buy chocolate bars for s'mores for the 4th only to have them eaten before then and have to buy more. Nope not me!

I did not come downstairs Saturday morning to find a mouse (dead) in the middle of our family room. Eww! No way. I did not leave it there until Devin woke up to take care of it. Nope!

Devin was not videotaping, while Jacob crawled down the stairs when he decided to try going sideways and end up rolling down and he most definitely did not hit his head on the wall as he come to a stop. Oh no! Not us! We are excellent parents who would never put our child in that dangerous situation!
