Jacob Funnies

Jacob was playing on the slate (our windows 8 tablet), while we were waiting at a Mexican restaurant. Devin was teasing him pretending he was going to touch the slate. Jacob was laughing saying" no, no dad, no thank you!" Then he said  "put you fingers in the chips daddy".

We tried a new motivating potty training tactic, you poop in the potty, You get a cookie. if you poop in your undies, mommy or daddy get a cookie. Then Jacob says to me." If you poop the your undies, me get a cookie. "That's a deal buddy!

11 Months

Noah is now 11 months old. 1 can't believe it. The time does fly.

Our little guy is sure a bundle of joy. Happy, smiley, Loving his brother and sister.

He Loves to eat. He often exists more than Jacob or Evie. Sometimes combined! His favorite foods are bread, oranges, grapes, blueberries, meatballs, cheese, crackers. He drinks from a sippy cup and gets a bottle in the morning and night. He is weaned and is drinking a combination of coconut milk and whole milk. He has 2 teeth on the bottom and 2 on the top just about ready to break the skin.

He sleeps fairly well going to bed around 7:00 pm and wakes around 6:oo. Sometimes he goes right back to bed and other days is up for the morning. He usually tales 2 naps a day.

He is crawling all over the place, still with one knee and one foot. He can pull himself to a stand on anything and is cruising around the furniture. He walks easily holding onto your fingers and sometimes tries to step out on his own.

He loves to play with anything Jacob and Evie are playing with and has found a new love for the laundry basket.

He is wearing about 9 month clothes and Size 3 diaper during the day and size 4 at night.

He is cute as a bug! He loves his momma. He loves to give kisses.

Sorry no pictures. Apparently my picture limit on google has been met, so until I figure something else out, no pictures. Boo.

Moved

So we moved and are going to be moving again.  The first move was very stressful.  Moving out our home, we were planning on moving into our "new" house we dubbed "the wood house".  But found out the day before move out that we did not get the house. So on to plan B, move all our stuff to storage and stay at a hotel/ my parents until we figure out something else. On the day of move out, we found out our agent found a rental for us. Thus began plan C. Of course all our stuff is already in storage. We grabbed our beds, clothes, TV, couch, a few random kitchen boxes, and a few toys. We are making do and getting by just fine. We are renting a two bedroom short sale condo, which is much better than a lot of other places we could have ended up in. Its a little tight but we are making it work.
Just last week we found another house to put an offer on. We are in contract and having the inspection on Friday morning. Pending the results, the house will be ours.  Our close date/move-in date will be December 19th.

Halloween

We celebrated Halloween a few days early at the Microsoft Halloween party on the 26th.  We ended up moving out of our house on Halloween day and the kids were at my parents house.  Good thing they are too little to know any different.  They had a great time and did their trick-or-treating at Microsoft.  This year we had a dragon (who really wanted to be a butterfly), a butterfly and a Teddy bear.

Noah is 10 Months

Baby boy is growing up so fast.  He turned 10 months old on October 27th.

Noah now has 2 teeth, well barely 2 teeth.  I just felt one on Wednesday the 24th and the other one on the 27th.

Noah eats like a champ.  He prefers to eat what we are eating over any baby food or Cheerios.  His favorite foods are bread, cheese, yogurt, meatballs, any kind of meat, ice cream.  He drinks from a sippy cup.

He is generally sleeping through the night, 11-12hrs, though since moving and day lights savings time change his sleep schedule is a bit off.  He takes two naps a day, except when we go out.  He only sleeps at home or sometimes in the car but only if he is really tired.

Noah is crawling.  He took his first crawling steps on is 10 month birthday.  He is full on crawling now and fast.  He crawls with one knee and one foot.  He likes to follow the two around and likes to grab at ears, hair, anything he can get.  They of course are not big fans of this.

Noah is still tiny.  He is wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diaper.

Noah is still nursing 3-5 times a day.

His favorite toys are: anything he can chew, sit on toys, balls, and wants so badly to get his hands on anything electronic (remotes and cell phones).

He seems to be following in his brothers footsteps.  He is going to be one who gets into everything.  I removed him 3 times today from getting into the kitchen broom.  He is a Mommy's boy.  He is fine and content when I am not around but if I walk by to don't pick him up, then he will lose it.  Saddest little cry.  He is mostly content, smiley, happy little guy, except when he is hungry.

My Days are Numbered

Nine Months

Baby boy is nine months old already.  Time is going by too fast!  Noah is just so sweet and cute.  He is still so tiny.

Height: 25.75 inches (less than 3rd %tile)
Weight: 15 labs, 6 ounces (2nd %tile)

Wears size 3 diapers.  6 months clothes.  I finally just packed up the 3 month jammies and onesies.

He is very ticklish and loves to laugh.  He will laugh and laugh playing peek-a-boo, rolling a ball, watching Jacob and Evie, and funny sounds.

He sleeps 10-11hours at night (between feedings) but still wakes 1-2 times a night for his paci.  He goes to bed around 7:30 and wakes between 5-6am and then goes back to sleep for 2-3 hours.  He takes 2 naps a day of about 2 hours each.

He loves eating!  And don't try that baby food stuff, he wants the real stuff.  He actually does eat baby food but he does want what we are having.  He loves cheese, meatballs, bread, Cheerios, frozen waffles, and crackers.  He is also taking a sippy cup.

He is clapping, sitting, rolling, scooting in a circle sitting and on his belly, and scooting backwards.  He isn't quite the early mover I thought he might be.  He really wants to crawl but hasn't figured out how to make his front and back work together.  He lifts his arms up to be picked up. And he folds his hands in prayer, its so cute.

He is bit of a snuggler and will lay his head on your shoulder.  He loves to grab your face and give kisses!  He is a Mommy's boy.

2 Years Old

Our Evie girl turned 2 just a month ago.  Again, where has the time gone?  She is 31.5 inches (5th %tile) and 25lbs (50th %tile).  Looks like she's got her mother's height!

Evie loves her brothers.  She does everything Jacob does.  She loves giving kisses to Noah, and has figured out she can make Noah laugh in the car.

Evie is our little spit fire, she is going to give us a run for our money.  She has perfected the scream when Jacob takes something from her.  She has perfected the sit or the wet noodle or the fall flat on my face when she doesn't get her way.

Evie's favorite toys: a tent/fort, shoes, cars, the doll stroller, anything Jacob or Noah play with.

Evie is really into dress-up.  Likes tutu's, butterfly wings, hats, gloves, shoes, her swim suit, anything girly.

Evie's favorite foods are: strawberries, blueberries, crackers of any kind, waffles, Cheerios, yogurt, sweets of any kind.

Evie wears a size 2T all around.  Size 5 shoe.

She can run and just started jumping, but not jumping off things yet.  She is a climber.

She has never had a haircut.

She loves the water.  Screams when its bath time.  Independently floats about a pool with water wings on and loves the hot tub.

She is a Daddy's girl and has Daddy wrapped around her finger.

3 Years Old

Our little Jacob turned 3 at the end on August.  It's hard to believe that he is already 3.  We had a joint birthday party with Evie, Curious George style.

Jacob is full of life and has endless energy.  He does not know the definition of being worn out.

He is very sweet.  He is a Mommy's boy.  He loves is sister and brother, especially now that Noah is becoming more interactive.  He loves to laugh and make everyone laugh.

His favorite toys are: a guitar, hot wheels track or any car track, a tent/fort, fire truck, iPad/slate, tricycle/bicycle.

Favorite foods are: cheese, pb&j sandwich, apples, banana, strawberries, blueberries, grapes, goldfish, Cheerios, waffles, mac & cheese, fruit snacks, anything sweet

Jacob wears a size 2T shirt, 2T-3T pants for length, size 8 shoe.

Jacob can count to 40, knows all the letters and letter sounds (thanks leapfrog).

His favorite TV shows/ movies are: A bugs life, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Curious George TV shows and movies, Busytown, Leapfrog.

Jacob is potty training and successful with #1, still working on #2.

Jacob loves the water and has become very comfortable in the water.  He even jumps in and puts his head under.  He floats around independently with water wings on.

Happy 3rd birthday Jacob.  I can't imagine life without your smile and laughter.  You keep us on our toes and very busy.  Love you so much.

Quotes by Jacob

Jacob says lots of funny things lately. Here are a few:

Me: Jacob, look at these beautiful red flowers.
Jacob- Comes over and sniffs (by exhaling)
me: what do they smell like?
Jacob: smells like chocolate

J: look hairplanes! 2 hairplanes. Big hairplane, small hairplane.
M: Yes. Big airplane, small airplane. Big and small are opposites.
J: not opposites, hairplanes.

Jacob thinks any blinking light is broken. Upon seeing a blinking yellow left turn arrow:
Dat broken. Dat need new batteries.

Finding and watching a tv show on Netflix called Eebee (which is how Jacob pronounces Evie).
Me:  should we watch another Eebee?
Jacob: no, let's watch a Jacob.

A Day at the Lynnwood Pool

The Lynnwood pool is awesome.  It is like a mini water park.  It is so popular during the summer that we waited until school was in and then made the trip.  The kids loved it, even Noah.
