Markers

Whenever I ask Jacob if he wants to color, he enthusiastically responds "yes". When I ask if he wants to use crayons or markers, the answer is almost always markers (and then when he is done with markers, he usually wants to do crayons). Today was no exception.

He used to use a little from each color on his papers. The last couple days he has stuck to red or blue. He is getting much better at coloring, not just scribbling circles all over the page but focusing his color on a certain area.

Today we colored a kitty.
Check out the concentration!

Throwing in the Towel

Sad to say, after a few weeks, I have finally thrown in the towel. We are back in diapers, done potty training (for now).

He did great for the first five weeks or so....saying yes or no if asked, and going if he answered yes. Sometimes just going on his own, of course never telling us, but for the most apart, accident free. Until about two weeks ago when the response to "do you need to go" changed to "I don't want to" and then peeing without care. I decided to institue potty times and that worked but it was sometimes a struggle to get him to sit on the potty and if I wasn't totally dilligent about it he would still pee without care. I was starting to get frustrated cleaning up everything, so I am giving up. I am sad about it because we came so far and I hate to go back but we have. I have thrown in the towel on potty training for now.

Picture Frame Hair Bow Organizer

My sister made this picture frame turned earring holder a few years ago.

I decided to turn it into a hair bow/flower organizer for Evie.

A little paint.

I decided to put on a final coat of mod podge which turned out to be a mistake since it turned the purple frame slightly turquoise in some places.

A little ribbon.

An “S” hook for hanging.

Place in bathroom or hang on a wall.

32 Weeks

32 weeks and some odd days.  Funny that with my first two pregnancies I know the exact weeks and days I was.  Now sometimes I have to check the ticker on the side of this blog to remind myself of the weeks.  It seems to be going by very slowly and yet fast at the same time.  Now that November has rolled in, I can say “we will be having this baby next month.”  And that seems crazy, to be that close already.  Our c-section is scheduled for the 28th of December.  That is just 2 days ahead of our due date.  We are kind of hoping the baby comes early, like around the 15th would be nice.  Devin is kind of hoping for Christmas day.  We shall wait and see.

This pregnancy is going along great, with out complications or challenges just like the last two.  The baby is VERY active, of course mostly when I lay down to sleep or when I wake at 5am to use the bathroom, then it’s like a circus in my belly.  I am having the usual shortness of breath, Braxton-hicks contractions, and of course fatigue.  For the most part, I have feeling great and feeling huge.
