Parties

We had a joint party at our neighborhood park to celebrate Jacob and Evie's birthdays.

When Evie's actual birthday rolled around, we just celebrated as a family.  Jacob was very concerned that no one was coming to Evie's party.  We explained over and over that we already had a party for Evie.  That the party at the park was for you (Jacob) and Evie.  But we just couldn't convince him, he wanted to know who was going to come to Evie's party.  It was so cute and sweet.

The Little Lady Turns 3

Today is Evie's birthday.  Its hard to believe she is 3!  She is a girly girl and into all things pink.  When she puts on a dress or skirt (or her swim suit with a ruffle) she turns side to side saying "so pretty."  She loves her brothers and has actually started playing with Jacob following his lead.  Just yesterday they were playing "camping" in Noah's room together, laughing and talking for 20-30min.

A little bit more about Eve:

* Favorite foods include yogurt, waffles, Cheerios, crackers, ice cream, milk
* Anytime she was asked what she wanted for her birthday meals she said "cake"
* She is still a Daddy's girl
* She is semi potty trained
* Favorite toys include her doll house, baby doll accessories (stroller and shopping cart) and of course anything Jacob or Noah is playing with
* Sleeps with 'baby', lamby, and her soft pink blanket in a big girl bed
* Wears a size 3or 4 top or dress, size 2 short or skirt, size 3 pants, size 7 shoe
*  She is very stubborn
* Loves riding her tricycle, can almost peddle her big girl bike
* Always wants to go swimming or camping
* Loves the water
* Is in her own little world most of the time
* Plays really well by herself
* Is finally talking and really starting to use words to communicate
* Loves to be flipped around by daddy

Happy birthday Evie!  We love you more than words.

4 Years Old!

4 years ago our Jacob was born.  Oh how the time has flown by. 

*He loves to laugh
*He is always full of energy and loves to run, jump, climb, and ride
*Favorite foods include PB&J, cheese sandwich, blueberries, strawberries, chocolate
*Is always asking to "do something special" which is usually painting something or playdough
*Is always talking, yelling or screaming
*Favorite toys are dad's construx, hot wheels, hexagon shapes
*Favorite movie Cars 2
*Rides is bike like a pro both a bike with training wheels and a balance bike.  He is just about ready to ride with just 2 wheels
*Likes to help in the kitchen
*Requested pancakes for breakfast and Red Robin cheese sandwich for dinner
*Requested chocolate cupcakes for his birthday with green frosting and sprinkles
*He is too tall for all his size 3 pants after wearing shorts all summer
*Is getting picky about which shirts he wears.  His favorite is a navy blue superman shirt
*Can count to 50+, knows all the letters and letter sounds
*Is the ring leader of the three almost all the time
*Still loves to snuggle with me.  Anytime I sit down he is almost immediately on my lap
*Loves his brother and sister
*Makes friends easily
*Is shy in new situations and doesn't like to be left (at church or MOPs)
*Likes to be a helper
*Likes to play games on my phone or Surface
*In the car points out all the taxi's and cars with no tops

Happy birthday buddy boy.  Can't imagine life without you!
